Best Concert I've Seen?
Last year I got the chance to see one of my favorite artists, Shania Twain. She put on a great show, and I love basically all of her songs. I also got to go with my dad and sister, so that was really fun!
My name is Logan Haak, and I am a senior Sports and Recreation Management major with a minor in Broadcast Journalism. I currently work at KSDJ as the Program Director. For my job, I get to work directly with our station’s DJ’s making sure their
shows are running smoothly! Outside of KSDJ, I work as a research assistant and serve as the secretary for the Sports and Recreation Club here at SDSU. I also love being outdoors and staying active, as well as being the world's best movie critique (in my own mind.)
Welcome to, “All Things Jacks!” I am here to address anything going on that is newsworthy on SDSU’s campus. Whether it be any big updates to the campus, any exciting events going on, or any SDSU story that our listeners should be hearing, you’ll hear it on “All Things Jacks.” With interviews from people of all departments and majors, you will hear dozens of different perspectives; all to create the best listening experience for our listeners.
What is your favorite genre of music?
My favorite genre of music will always differ from day to day. Music is music, I can't just pick one!
Hi, I’m Megan, a sophomore Communication Studies major with a minor in History. At KSDJ, I’m in charge of all things communication and outreach. I get to run the social media sites and update this very website. When I'm not working at KSDJ, I am part of the Knitting Club and Jacks Give Back. I also spend my time watching movies with my suitemates and eating ice cream!
My show, "A Step in Time" allows me to share my nerdy history knowledge with listeners. Some of it's fun, some of it's silly, but it's all history!
What is your favorite band?
My all-time favorite band is the Eagles! They have the coolest sound that is a little bit of country, rock, and more! My favorite song of theirs is "Take It Easy."
I am the News Director for KSDJ. As the News Director, I put news on the station daily and try to get interviews with people to get our station’s listeners up to date on current events! I am a Sophomore/Junior Journalism major. I am the Public Relations Director of the journalism club as well. I LOVE food and am always eating, I love to watch and play sports and hang out with friends.
"Trends with S&T" involves clothing, movies, TV, music, slang words, pop culture trends/news, and much more! You can learn many new styles and trends in a short time frame of listening to our show!
Best concert I've seen?
My favorite concert I have attended was Florida Georgia Line because it was so fun even though we had nosebleed seats. They just really preformed and made it fun to watch.
As the sports director at KSDJ, my position includes covering all sports news for the radio station here at SDSU as well as doing a talk show every week. I also broadcast live sporting events for the SDSU teams. I am a sophomore majoring in Journalism and Broadcasting, as well as in Communications Studies. My hobby is sports. Everything about sports.
My show focuses on covering sports news first at the campus level at SDSU, and then at a national level with breaking headlines and things like that.
What is your favorite band?
My favorite band of all time is LANY because they have amazing music that isn't well known and a lot of relatable lyrics with a really unique sound.
My name is Hayden Woods, and I’m the sound director for KSDJ. I’m from Austin Texas and moved up to South Dakota about a year and a half ago. I have a lot of experience in the music industry and have worked on many production crews for a lot of different artists. I have an education in
audio engineering and am now working on getting my bachelor’s degree in Aviation Education here at SDSU. I love technology and music, so I feel right at home working for KSDJ. If you like airplanes or tech stuff come talk to me!
My show, “Boiz World” is a show hosted by DJ Boi Woodz and showcases a mix of electronic music to get your weekend started!
What is your favorite genre?
My favorite genre of music is EDM because it has so many different moods and is really fun to play as a DJ. I like many other genres, but I think electronic music will always have a special place for me.
My name is Jacob Womack, and I'm the Music Director at KSDJ. Every Friday afternoon, I make sure the latest rock and alternative songs are being put on the air for Brookings to enjoy. I'm a senior Speech Education major. I student teach at BHS, and I'm in both of the fall plays on campus and Jumpin' Jacks Improv. When I get the time, I rock climb at the wellness center, too.
My show is called "Friday Mornings with Jacob Womack." It is on . . . Friday mornings (10 to 12). I talk about extremely informative and valuable content with absolutely no sarcastic undertones or useless information whatsoever.
What is your favorite band?
My favorite band is hands-down The Smashing Pumpkins. They were my first big concert, and the array of emotions they can convey in their music is unbelievable.
